Every Monday we will reveal our fantasy players for the past week, as well as
our players to watch in the upcoming week for various types of pools
Here are your fantasy players for the past week:
Player | G | A | P | +/- | PIM | PPP | SOG |
Dany Heatley (SJ) | 3 | 4 | 7 | 6 | 2 | 3 | 5 |
Duncan Keith (CHI) | 1 | 6 | 7 | 3 | 0 | 2 | 11 |
W | L | GAA | SV | SA | SV% | SHO | |
Tim Thomas (BOS) | 2 | 0 | 0.00 | 49 | 49 | 1.000 | 2 |
After struggling in the first few games, Heatley and his all-star linemates are firing on all cyclinders now. In his two games this week, Heater put up awesome fantasy numbers, including a game winner. With their powerplay consistently dangerous, look for Heatley to put up more solid numbers. Keith rode a three game point streak to 7 point week, including his lone goal of the week being a game winner. Keith is among the leagues best fantasy defencemen and will continue to put up excellent numbers. As for Tim Thomas, what a year he is off to. Posting two shutouts in his two starts this week, Thomas was perfect and kept his unbelievable start of 6-0, .984SV% and 0.50 GAA going strong. While Thomas will no doubt falter, he has proved to his critics that he is an elite goaltender and can outduel the young Tuukka Rask.
Players to Watch This Week
Daniel Sedin (VAN)
The Canucks have 4 games this week and Daniel has a point in every game this year. We have him picked for our Score Bench Boss and Sportsnet Pick'Em pools. So hoping for a big week, and at least 5 points for our fantasy rosters this week. Could also benefit from having last seasons linemate Alexandre Burrows returning to the lineup on Wednesday.
Duncan Keith (CHI)
Keith put up some solid numbers last week after a slow start to the season. Look for him to continue to be hot and put up some pointts this week. The Blackhawks have 4 games this week against NYR , NJ , ATL , and EDM. If you need a d-man from the East in your Pool it’s time to go back to Mike Green. He started off slow this season and missed some games because of injury, but he is back to logging major minutes. Also look for John Carlson's numbers to drop off with Green eating up more playing time.
Ward has 5 wins so far this season and the Hurricanes actually don’t look that crap. The Canes have 4 games this week against, PHI , NYI , FLA , FLA so expect at least 2 wins for Wardo. We just couldn’t go near Roberto Luongo this week. Even with 4 games this week we can still see Cory Schneider getting 2 games.
Keith is lighting it up
ReplyDeleteYes Tim Thomas is off too a great start, Even shutting out my Leafs with some outstanding saves to steal the game. He has shown to be a Top Goaltender so far this year! GO Leafs Go!
