Little is known about the cheer team. All we know is that there are 19 of them between the ages of 19-28 and "athletic girls in good physical condition".
The Edmonton Oilers website features a pretty epic video to pump you up for the cheer team's debut. It shows you their uniforms, as well as reveals that there will be more brunettes than blondes on the team.
Let's hope the Sportsnet cameras do their job tonight and let viewers at home meet the new cheer team as well.
Usually reserved for struggling hockey markets, many NHL teams already feature cheerleaders, or girls wearing short dresses/skirts to shovel snow during stoppages and plays.
What do the readers think? Is this a good idea to have in Canada? Is the new "cheer team" a good fit for the young Oilers and franchise? Let us know what you think after it takes you 7 minutes to scroll down.
Yes boys, this is more like it!
ReplyDeleteThe Carolina Hurricanes cheerleader has far too much material in that uniform
ReplyDeleteI don't think you'll like the Oilers outfits then...
ReplyDeleteI heard they will be wearing longjohns since it's so cold

I think all the teams should have cheerleaders. When your at the game and your teams down 4 goals in the third they'll be atleast something to watch. Alot of the girls are slutty looking.. almost too bare. looks like they should have a pole next to them and have $ hanging out of there skirts.I like the Atlanta Thrashers Girls . http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/58925/Blue_Crew.jpg
ReplyDeleteThe leafs have girls not cheerleaders. they were selling surprise bags at the game when i went last month. They were actually really hot!

I just thought of very naughty things about the L.A. Kings girl, wow wow. brayden schenn will be missing her. Maybe if he wins the gold for canada he will get tap it
ReplyDeleteI like how they say "athletic girls in good physical condition" because they aren't allowed to say hot ass bitches. Good old political correctness.
ReplyDeleteIs it wrong to like the cartoon babe?
ReplyDeletei bet half the oiler cheerleaders are better skaters then colton orr and luke schenn
ReplyDeletereally, an article about the Edmonton cheerleaders who look like they just finished elementary school, how about the leafs win in Edmonton! Im not a fan of Canadian teams becoming Americanized, there's something very American (redneckish) about having cheerleaders at a hockey game.
ReplyDeletecheck out the melons on that KINGS girl!
ReplyDeleteWith the cheerleaders even with a bad game its worth watching.
