"Raw hockey players. It's rare now, but sometimes you get the odd hockey player who hasn't had any media training and gives you a real interview. No cliché quotes, just a young hockey player with a personality and a love for the game"
After thrashing Slovakia 6-1 on Tuesday, USA forward Jerry D'Amigo tweeted the above. The cheap hit is a reference to this high hit/elbow/launch he took from Peter Hrasko.
While it certainly took him awhile to shake this rain drop off, you gotta love D'Amigo taking to the Internet to voice his opinion.
This isn't the first world junior tweet we've noticed. Earlier in the week, Puck Daddy had a nice article on the treatment of the host city, Buffalo, by one of the American players, Emerson Etem.

Here is what Etem had to say about Buffalo:
While he tried to cover his tracks by referring to the weather, we all know what he meant.
Only four days into the tournament and we've already had some great World Junior action on and off the ice. With young players using more social media, it will be interesting to see how many more jerky comments we will get from players during the tournament.
Buffalo is a dump
