NHL Involved in WikiLeaks

This WikiLeaks stuff is pretty bizarre. All this week, the whistleblowing site has been releasing U.S Diplomatic Cables involving their State Department and its diplomatic missions over the decades. Everyday I am reading the newspaper and learning diplomatic gossip about international affairs. While most of the cables and transmissions involve governments, there were a few involving the NHL that many people don’t know about. Some even date back to the fifties and contain sensitive information that was blacked out by a league official (we suspect Colin Campbell knew how to cover his tracks on paper, not so much with e-mail).

Dirty Dangle managed to get a few of the cables before someone under the computer username TMNT_Splinter took them down.

Here's the document:

Pretty amazing that the NHL got on Kyle Wellwood’s eating habits like that, and we’re glad helmets are mandatory now so Getzlaf’s lid is hidden from view… most of the time. I think we all knew there was more to the non-high sticking call in 93’ and the foot in the crease to win the Stanley Cup as well.
