Every Monday we will reveal our fantasy players for the past week, as well as our players to watch out for in the upcoming week for various types of pools and leagues
We're glad Henrik is captain, it's easier to tell them apart

The Sedins are once again heating up. With a strong week from Daniel (5G, 2A) and Henrik (5A), they are tied for 3rd in the league for points with 54 each. If you managed to do some Brian Burke wheeling and dealing and land the Twins on your team, we salute you. Other notable forward fantasy scorers include Patrick Sharp (4G, 2A), Ryan Kesler (4G, 2A), and Mikhail Grabovski (4G, 1A).

While Shea Weber has started off slow this season, he has started to get some points the past few weeks even riding a current 5-game point streak. Weber is shooting more than ever so keep an eye out for him as he is proving he can still put a puck through a net. Other notable defencemen this week include Alex Goligoski (1G, 4A), Tomas Kaberle (4A, 4PP), and Brian Rafalski (2G, 2A).

We're pretty sure that if the Ducks didn't have Jonas Hiller they wouldn't be in 5th place in the Western Conference. Hiller has been amazing for the Ducks this year with a 2.39 GAA and .929 SV%. While his record isn't amazing at 21-14-3, he's given the Ducks a chance to win every night he plays. He's a risky pick in pools where only wins are scored, but if you have him in a roto league he's a keeper for his solid numbers. Other notable goalies this week include Jose Theodore (3-1, 1.50 GAA, .946 SV%), Ryan Miller (2-0, 1.60 GAA, .952 SV%) and Pekka Rinne (2-0, 1.00 GAA, .976 SV%).

Fantasy Guys to Watch This Week:

Forwards
In the West I am going to stick with a Henrik Sedin. The Canucks have 4 games this week against NYI, NYR, WSH, MIN. If you are doing a pool and Henrik and Daniel are not in the same box make sure to pick them both. The Twins both have 54pts so far this year. In the East I am going to go with Alexander Ovechkin. The Caps also have 4 games this week and OV looks like he might be starting to heat up.

Defencemen
Going to go with Alex Edler in the West, hoping he will be able to get some points during his 4 games this week. In the East I am going to go with Mike Green. He has been battling injuries this year and his point totals have suffered. The Caps have 4 games this week against FLA, TB, VAN, and OTT and I'm hoping he breaks out with OV.

Goalies

I am going to go with Roberto Luongo this week in the West. With 4 games this week I am hoping he plays in at least 3 of them. In the East, going to take a chance on Brian Boucher and the Flyers who have 4 games this week against BUF, BOS, ATL, and NYR. Boucher has been playing very well of late.

Update: I dropped 32 spots in my Score Bench Boss pool. Thank you Steven Stamkos for only getting one point in 4 games last week.

If you haven't already, check out our new Fantasy Page and join our group for the CBC Fantasy Hockey Pool (2nd half starts this Saturday).

  1. If Crosby is out for awhile it will be interesting to see if Hank can catch him in points.
