A great fantasy week for those who don't have guys named Crosby, Malkin, and Datsyuk on their teams. Claude Giroux led all forwards in scoring this week with 7 points and was a +6 on the scoresheet. Giroux is now riding a career high 6 game point streak. Looking forward to seeing Giroux at the All Star Game. Honourable mention goes to Steven Stamkos (5G, 1A) who continues to light it up since Crosby went down with injury and as recorded 7 goals, 4 assists in the 9 games since Crosby announced he was concussed.

Zdeno Chara had a career week as he recorded his first career hat trick and continued to add to his impressive +/- rating. Chara has 9 points in his last 9 games and continues to have strong fantasy numbers all around. Honourable mention goes to Brent Burns (2G, 3A), Alex Edler (3G, 1A), and Keith Yandle (5 assists); all of whom are enjoying fantastic offensive seasons.

Tim Thomas is doing it again. Dominating the fantasy headlines all year, he had once again a career week. For those who don't know, his season save percentage is .945, and the single season record is .937 held by Dominek Hasek. For those fans who haven't seen Thomas play, do it, its worth it. Honourable mention goes to Martin Brodeur who had Thomas-like numbers going 3-0 with a 1.34 GAA and .949 save percentage. I guess our post asking if he was doneski really got to him.

Fantasy guys this week
It's only a 3 day week for fantasy hockey with the All-Star Weekend coming up.

Forwards
In the West take either Sedin. The Canucks have 2 games in the 3 days before the Allstar break against DAL and NSH. In the East the only real big stud with 2 games is OV. Ovechkin and the Caps play against NYR and ATL and Ovechkin might have some confidence after his hat trick on the weekend.

Defencemen
Going to go with Keith Yandle in the West, he has been a great fantasy dman this year racking up 40 pts in 49 games. The Yotes also have 2 games this week against EDM and COL. In the East, I am going to take a chance on Mike Green who has been playing better of late and might want to prove he belongs as an All Star alternate captain.

Goalies
In the West, going to hope the Roberto Luongo plays both the games this week for the Canucks and grab some wins off DAL and NSH. In the East going to stick with my boy Tim Thomas, the Bruins play 2 games against LA and FLA.
