Michael Grabner is making his case for the Calder trophy. With his 8 goals this week (that is a 1/3 of his total goals on the season), Grabner is now tied with Logan Couture for the rookie goal scoring lead. Grabner now has 9 goals, 2 assists in his last 5 games, including two game winners. A stat Grabner is likely most impressed by: he has more goals than anyone on the Florida Panthers, the team that waived him during the preseason.

While Tomas Kaberle was not officially the top Yahoo! ranked fantasy defenceman this week, he is likely the only player you might have had on your team or dressed. Travis Hamonic of the New York Islanders was the highest ranked Yahoo! defenceman thanks to that brawl against Pittsburgh last week. Kaberle strings together points here and there, but he remains a top 10 offensive producer thanks to his powerplay assists output - which has him tied with Nicklas Lidstrom, Keith Yandle and Jack Johnson for the league lead.

Ilya Bryzgalov continues to lead the Coyotes playoff charge has they have now won 4 in a row and sit in 6th place in the tight Western Conference. Bryzgalov has two shutouts in those 4 wins, and helped the Coyotes win some big games this week - including stopping Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Marian Hossa in a shootout Saturday night.

Guys to Watch This Week

Forwards
In the West, take either Sedin. The Canucks have 4 games against STL, MIN, NSH and DAL. Daniel Sedin has been having a hell of a year so I am going to go with him as my star to double his points. Other Canucks on hot streaks are Mikael Samuelsson and Alex Burrows, they are both worth a pick this week. In the East the only real big stud with 4 games is OV. Ovechkin and the Caps go on the road and play against PHO, ANA, SJ and BUF.

Defence
Going to go with Keith Yandle in the West, he has been a great fantasy D-man this year racking up 46 pts in 57 games. The Coyotes also have 3 games this week against WSH, ATL and NSH - those could be some high scoring games. In the East I am going to take a chance on Mike Green who has 4 games and is due for a big week.

Goalies
In the West, going to stick with Roberto Luongo and hope he plays at least 3 out of the 4 games this week. Vancouver is the top team in the NHL and Luongo should pick up some wins this week. In the East, going to go with Ryan Miller and the surging Sabres who have 7 wins in the last 10 games. Buffalo plays 4 games against MTL, TOR, STL and WSH. It should be a guaranteed win night against the Leafs.

Also, welcome back to the NHL, Peter Forsberg. I picked up Forsberg in my Yahoo! pool and so far in 2 games he is a minus 4 with zero points. I have been assured by one of our loyal readers, Benny G, that Forsberg will pick it up and start racking up the points soon.

Anyone else taking a gamble on Forsberg?
