Sunday Recovery

After an eventful Saturday of hockey, and probably heavy drinking, its time to relax and recover on the action across the country. Catch up on some teams and highlights you may have missed while trying to get that blonde's phone number last night.
Definition of 'awkward collision'
It was a fun filled day of hockey with CBC's Hockey Day in Canada broadcast for 12+ hours. Some really good stories featured throughout the day - some of our favourites were the Northend Hockey League in Winnipeg organized by a police officer for at risk children, and the touching piece on Tim Taylor and the obstacles his family had to deal with outside of hockey. In the NHL, Peter Forsberg returned to Nashville where he was a -2 and the Av's lost 5-3. Mikael Samuelsson continues to score as he's netted 12 points in his last 6 games. Alex Kovalev also continues to play decent hockey as his name swirls around in trade rumours. Here are headlines across Canada:

Toronto Maple Leafs

Montreal Canadiens

Ottawa Senators

Edmonton Oilers

Calgary Flames

Vancouver Canucks

Perhaps Teemu Selanne does more than race cars back in Finland?

Video of the Night
Here's a nice Pat Burns tribute written by Mike Foligno shown on CBC last night.

  5. I picked up Grabner in my yahoo pool last week. He is going to score 35 goals and still was on the wire this late in the season.
