Coach Crosby In the Sky

So far during the Pittsburgh Penguins playoff games against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Sidney Crosby - the Pens injured superstar captain - has been seen up in the press box with a headset on relaying messages down to assistant coach Tony Granato. Crosby has been practicing with the team for 2 weeks now, but still hasn't been cleared for full contact practices. Having Crosby up in the pressbox communicating with the team is a great idea, even if he just relaying positive reinforcement. His hockey sense is off the charts and any tips he might have could change the game.

With the Penguins leading the series 3-1, there isn’t a huge rush to get Crosby back just yet. But if the team was losing the series you can bet that there would be a lot more questions about his possible return. Even in the pressbox, Crosby still got more camera time than Mike Rupp. With all the attention he got up there, we tried to read Sid's lips to see what he was saying to Granato on the bench. Here are a few things we thought he might have said the other game:

• "Tell Flower that I just crushed that level on Call of Duty we couldn't pass earlier"
• "Is Stamkos sitting out again?"
• "Jordan Staal needs to shoot more and stop passing to those plugs"
• "Martin St Louis is so small from up here... like Montreal Canadiens small"
• "I think we need to leave Kris Letang out for most of the game... and glue Ben Lovejoy to the bench"
• "So James Neal was a goal scorer at one point right?"
• "Arron Asham is our leading goal scorer so far, not sure we will be making it out of the first round. I wonder if I could play in the Worlds for Canada next month?"
• "Hey Tony, so I hear your sister was a better hockey player then you"
• "Wow does Vinny Lecavalier look tanned, sorta looks like Vinny from Jersey Shore"
• "I wonder what Geno is doing now, has anyone seen him around since he got hurt?"
• "Tony, look behind you, 3 rows up. I am pretty sure the redhead is Stamkos' girl"
• "Hedman is so overrated and just seems to try and hit people from behind"
• "It was so much easier scoring on the Lightning when they had Dan Ellis and Mike Smith playing"
• "Tony, boy do I wish I could be out there"
