Is Stanley making an appearance tonight in Boston? |
The Canucks lead the series 3-2 and when you look at the stats it's pretty amazing that the Vancouver Canucks are only one win away from winning the Cup. The biggest stat is that in 5 games they have only scored 6 goals. While the games in Vancouver have been tight, the Bruins have dominated in Boston, outscoring the Nucks 12-1. Home ice advantage appears to be a big storyline this series.
The Sedin twins have been shut down so far with Henrik pointless and Daniel scoring his only points (goal and an apple) in Game Two. Their struggles have sparked a lot of criticism in the media, with Mike Milbury leading the way when he called them Thelma and Louise.
The twins showed some back bone and responded back to the loud mouth Milbury, with Henrik firing back at Milbury with, "I think he has to be happy with his career. He did a great job on Long Island. I'm sure he is happy with that"... point Henrik. Everyone knows Milbury shit the bed as a General Manager. And Henrik showed he had some balls to say that and not let Mad Mike push him around.
I am not the biggest movie buff but I am pretty sure at the end of Thelma and Louise they drive off a cliff and die. If the Canucks win the Cup tonight, let's hope the twins don’t jump in a convertible and drive into the Boston Harbour in their attempt at a Boston Sedin Party... for the chance of Mike Milbury being right.
I hope the Green Men get beat up tonight.
