@LAKings Rules

The Los Angeles Kings Twitter account made some headlines after their Game 1 victory last week against the Vancouver Canucks by posting this. Canucks fans were none too pleased at the shot @LAKings took in reference to them being one of the most hated teams in the NHL, even by Canadians. The Kings organization apologized for their Twitter guys trolling Vancouver fans, but the @LAKings have remained creative and engaging which is great to see when you compare it to other NHL teams Twitter accounts.

Here are some of our favourite @LAKings tweets you might have missed these past few days:

On Maxime Lapierre's Chirping...

Lapierre has a reputation for yapping, and I truly wish there was an option while watching hockey to hear what the players are saying to each other because it'd be very interesting to see what players like Lapierre are saying to other players. He does talk a lot, maybe he rehearses his chirps on the way to the rink?

On Winning Game Two...

Making light of their previous post-game tweet, the Kings offer this apology for winning both games in Vancouver. I'm sure this got some fans pretty fired up that they might have even created some Twitter accounts of their own...

On Canucks Fans Following Them...

Love it.

On Ryan Kesler Diving...

Obviously avoiding some potential trouble here, they play it safe. But the Internet has done it's job with Kesler GIFs here, here, and especially here

On Fans Who Don't Understand Sarcasm...

On The Vancouver Canucks Lack Of Offence This Series...

Excellent research!

I'll be honest, I don't follow any NHL Twitter accounts because they are so mundane, but the @LAKings are definitely making a case for a follow.
