Hockey Viewing Schedule For The Holidays

I don't know about you, but the holidays and hockey go together pretty damn well. While we will be without NHL hockey these holidays, there is a lot of international hockey to be watched. The 2013 World Junior Hockey Championships will headline the holidays, but don't forget about the Spengler Cup this year that will feature some NHL stars in action.

Here's your easy to follow hockey viewing schedule:

December 26th, 2012

Canada vs. Germany4am ETTSN
Slovakia vs. Russia9am ETTSN
Canada vs. Germany*Noon ETTSN
Canada vs. Germany*7:30pm ETTSN
Canada starts their quest for gold against Germany at 4am ET so set your alarm clocks nice and early. If you can't find your way out of bed in the early morning hours, than you can catch replays at 12pm and 7:30pm. If you can't go back to bed, catch a glimpse of Nail Yakupov as the host Russians take on Slovakia at 9am.

Team Canada vs. Adler Mannheim2pm ETTSN2
Team Canada starts their tourney against Adler Mannheim of the DEL in the second Canada-Germany match of the day with a live broadcast at 2pm; the perfect time to wake up from your nap following the World Juniors.

December 27th, 2012

USA vs. Germany9am ETTSN
The USA also start their tournament against Germany at a solid start time of 9am. The States are always a threat at the tourney so look for them to start out strong against the Germans.

Spengler Cup
HC Davos - Canada 2pm ETTSN
HC Davos and their star-studded lineup of Joe Thornton, Loui Eriksson, Patrick Kane, Damien Brunner, Raphael Diaz and maybe Rick Nash will play Team Canada after their loss to Adler Mannheim in their opening game. The host team will be one to watch with one of the top rosters at the tourney.

December 28th, 2012

Canada hits the ice again at 4am against Slovakia in what should be a tune-up game before they play Russia and the USA later in the preliminaries. Speaking of Russia and USA, they'll battle at 9am in a much anticipated game that will be the first true test for each team.

Adler Mannheim vs HC Davos                      2pm ETTSN2
HC Davos once again gets some TV time as they'll play Adler Mannheim in a potential big game to decide who'll take top spot in Pool A.

December 29th, 2012

Germany vs. Russia9am ETTSN
A quiet Saturday at the World Juniors features Germany and Russia dueling at 9am in which should be a fun display of Russian skill.
